Mike Gauthier, Sr. Vice President, North America Sales
Mike Gauthier has led the WDT North American Sales Operation since 2005, helping to generate revenue, increase market presence, expand vertical market segments, and build dynamic relationships. Over the years, Mike has become a principal evangelist for WDT products and services in the weather marketplace. Mike has been instrumental in assisting WDT in securing and sustaining a vision for the future growth of the company, and has been instrumental in building the sales strategy for WDT’s New Media Team, from the ground up. Mike brings extensive experience with business continuity sales and emergency management to WDT, the result of over 25 years of sales experience in the weather and outdoor recreation industries. Prior to joining WDT, Mike spent twelve years building the weather business for Impact Weather, located in Houston, Texas. During this period, Mike served as Vice President. Prior to beginning his work in the weather industry, Mike was the Chief Operating Officer of a medical supply company, where he also gained extensive marketing and management experience as well as sales and development expertise. Gauthier has owned his own retail business and enjoys the outdoors and time with his family. He has been married for 23 years and has two daughters. Mike holds a B.A. in Theology, which drives his passion and enthusiasm for all aspects of his life.

Steve Gallien, Sr. Vice President, Broadcast Execution
Steve Gallien's more than 20 years of experience includes management, project development and execution, video and online media production and leveraging best-of-breed interactive mapping technologies to visualize weather and other information on TV and the Web. Steve has worked directly with media leaders on a variety of groundbreaking visualizations of news, weather and other information. FOX Interactive Media: as a specialist in Web weather technology and usability, project management and vendor relationships to bring a suite of interactive weather content and applications to the MyFOX Web platform for 100+ O&'s and affiliate stations, and to launch a new weather site, weather.fox.com. CNN: produced the first use of interactive mapping on television for coverage of the Gulf War; guided their implementation of new weather data types in Google Earth and Virtual Earth for on-air presentations. cnn.com: coordinated their use of exclusive WDT technology to visualize hurricane impact in 2009, using Flash-enhanced interactive maps. Prior to working with WDT, Steve was VP of Programming Services at WSI Corp., managing a business unit focused on creating and distributing television and online content "both live and digitally recorded" to U.S. and international television and broadband outlets. Before that, Steve was a Director, News Production at CNN where he was architect of a multi-network distribution capability for on-air presentations for CNN, Headline News, cnn.com, CNNInternational and CNN en Espanol. He was also an Executive Producer of News, managing coverage and resources for news events.

Mark Taylor, Sr. Vice President, New Media Strategies
Mark Taylor is Senior Vice President of New Media Strategies at Weather Decision Technologies, Inc. (WDT). As such, he is a visionary leader who has developed winning strategies within interactive teams in the digital and broadcast space. Most recently, Mark developed and deployed the world’s first products designed to integrate real time weather and traffic information into an interactive mapping platform. These products evolved into WDT’s iMap® dynamic Google-based mapping platform, which is now used by hundreds of television, cable, print, online, and mobile properties throughout the United States. Prior to joining WDT, Mark led several entrepreneurial digital ventures. Most recently, Mark was with The Weather Channel Interactive as Vice President of Mashups, where he also served as the General Manager of Weather Bonk. He previously served as Vice President of Weather and Traffic Strategy and Services at Fox Interactive Media (FIM). Before joining Fox, Mark spent a total of 12 years at another weather company, WSI. Prior roles included sales and business development leadership positions within the television broadcast and cable industries, including local weather and information channels, Time Warner Cable and Brighthouse Cable. During this period, Mark successfully launched the United States’ first 24 hour local Spanish Channel.

Dax Cochran, Director, Business Development
Dax Cochran comes to WDT with 10 years of experience in advertising, sales, and social media marketing. Currently, Dax is expanding WDT’s presence in the security industry with our product, NOTUS and increasing WDT’s reach for our newest iMap products through social media. The last several years, Dax has worked with large media entertainment and sports entities (Fox Sports, WWE, SPEED TV, Outdoor Channel and Oklahoma City Thunder) to expand their reach through the latest social media and web marketing tools. Dax has been involved with business development, sales management, recruiting, advertising sales, training and product innovation for ONEsite, Inc., Trader Publishing Company, The Employment Guide and Integris Health. An avid outdoorsman, Dax enjoys camping, hunting, fishing and lake sports. Spring and summer, he spends lots of time on the softball field playing for two local softball teams.

Bill Conway, Sr. Vice President, International Systems
Bill moved into the prviate sector and co-founded WDT in 2000. Bill Conway's 25 year career in meteorology has included research, applied algorithm and systems development, and operational forecasting. His current responsibilities at WDT include international marketing, sales, and systems installation. He worked at the National Center of Atmospheric Research in Boulder, CO, (1984-1988) participating in several field projects while doing research on severe thunderstorms. He moved to Norman in 1988 to attend OU where he also worked at the National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL) as a graduate assistant. In 1990 he moved to the tropics and worked as an operational forecaster on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. He returned to NSSL in 1994 where he was involved in the NEXRAD, NWS, and FAA programs and the prototyping of new technologies developed at NSSL within operational settings. At NSSL he was involved in numerous field programs including the management of NSSL's participation in the Sydney 2000 Olympics Forecast Demonstration Project.
Bill managed WDT's participation in the 2008 Beijing Olympics where WDT is provided three key technologies for nowcasting during the games. Bill has earned several awards, the most prestigious being a 1999 joint US Department of Commerce Silver Medal for development of advanced applications on the NEXRAD radar system. He has authored or co-authored over 30 publications on meteorology and hydrology. Bill has been a member of the AMS since 1984 and a member of the NWA since 1994 and has served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Weather and Forecasting from 1994 to 1997 and is currently an Associate Editor of the NWA Weather Digest and The Electronic Journal.
