A 2006 graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in
Meteorology and a minor in Mathematics, Scott joined WDT in the
winter of 2005. During this time he designed a version of the
Lightning Decision Support System which was integrated in the
already existing iWatch system. Moving to full time at the company
in May he quickly jumped into designing web-based meteorological
display systems, as well as the infrastructure design for
supporting these systems. This work has been manifested through
three separate releases of full featured tropical, winter, and
severe weather web-based applications used by the public on a daily
basis as well as infrastructure used internally for data creation
and manipulation. His duties have also included design of a data
distribution system of meteorological data by use of databases, as
well as text file formats such as KML, XML, and CSV.
