Matt Gaffner is a forensic meteorologist who has worked full-time at WDT since May 2006. Matt manages the Forensics Team and is also involved in product development and enhancement. He is involved in hail analysis, snow analysis, lightning verification and other custom forensic weather research and analysis. Matt attended the University of Oklahoma graduating with a B.S. in Meteorology and a Minor in Mathematics in 2006. While attending OU, Matt worked at NSSL where he worked to quality control wind profile data for a research meteorologist. Matt is also skilled with GIS applications, and is interested applying that knowledge to career in Meteorology.
