GIS Weather Content
WDT is the global weather industry leader in providing high resolution, high precision and accurate weather information. Nearly all of the weather data and content provided by WDT are provided in GIS-compatible formats such as shapefile, ESRI grid raster and ASCII grid. These georeferenced datasets may be easily integrated into a local GIS application such as ESRI's desktop ArcGIS application and other popular GIS applications. WDT's standard GIS weather package consists of a basic set of weather products to sufficiently monitor severe and hazardous weather conditions and their impacts on the user's assets and weather-sensitive operations. These weather products include:
- Regional radar mosaic
- Severe storm attributes (tornado, hail and storm tracking)
- Surface weather observations
- NWS watch and warning polygons
- WDT's HailSwath predictions

Premium upgrade options include:
- CONUS satellite (IR and VIS)
- Single site NEXRAD reflectivity data
- Lightning strike data
- Quantitative Precipitation Estimation/Forecast (QPE/QPF)
