Snow

SnowExpress is designed and intended for the verification of snow accumulation over a 24 hour period. Using radar data, satellite data and networks of human observers, WDT employs advanced algorithms and expert weather analysis techniques to create a reliable assessment of the accumulation of snow. SnowExpress can be used to verify snowfall at one or many specific locations or as a tool to verify the areal extent and new accumulation of snowfall over a specific region or the entire continental United States. Snow verification data and analyses can be delivered in tabular format (e.g. Excel spreadsheet), PDF maps or shapefiles for GIS users.
Ice and Rainfall
WDT's expert meteorologists routinely assist customers in verifying the occurrence and amounts of ice and rainfall. Based upon the best available weather data such as radar, human observations and other meteorological data, ice and rain reports are tailored to the customers needs whether it is to determine the possibility of ice (e.g. relating to a slip-and-fall claim) or the amount of rainfall (e.g. relating to flash flooding) within a particular period of time and for a specific location of interest.
